Show is absolutely fantastic! Do not post this audio or clips of it on Youtube, Tumblr, or any other public site. There were no speeches or anything after curtain. Notes: Very enthusiastic crowd with a standing ovation after the Bad Romance medley. Karen accidentally sings “who bleeds a heart” instead of “who needs a heart” during “Elephant Love Medley” and Danny repeats it during the curtain call.īoston | J| christiangabrielzuko's Master | UntrackedĬast: Aaron Tveit (Christian), Karen Olivo (Satine), Danny Burstein (Harold Zidler), Sahr Ngaujah (Toulouse-Lautrec), Ricky Rojas (Santiago), Tam Mutu (The Duke), Robyn Hurder (Nini), Jacqueline B Arnold (La Chocolat), Holly James (Arabia), Jeigh Madjus (Baby Doll), Reed Luplau (Pierre)īoston | Aug| Token Goat's Master | Untrackedīoston | Aug| Hadesundergroundtrades' Master | TrackedĬast: Danny Burstein (Harold Zidler), Tam Mutu (The Duke), Jacqueline B Arnold (Le Chocolat), Sahr Ngaujah (Toulouse-Lautrec), Holly James (Arabia), Robyn Hurder (Nini), Jeigh Madjus (Babydoll), Ricky Rojas (Santiago), Aaron Tveit (Christian), Karen Olivo (Satine)īoston | Aug| christiangabrielzuko's Master | TrackedĬast: Aaron Tveit (Christian), Karen Olivo (Satine), Danny Burstein (Harold Zidler), Sahr Ngaujah (Toulouse-Lautrec), Ricky Rojas (Santiago), Tam Mutu (The Duke), Robyn Hurder (Nini), Jacqueline B Arnold (La Chocolat), Holly James (Arabia), Jeigh Madjus (Baby Doll)
Notes: There was a large group of teenage girls who would scream any time Aaron came onstage which really fed into the atmosphere. John Lowe aka Johnny Lowebow makes and plays the Lowebow Guitarīelow are three songs I shot of Ben Prestage rockin' his Lowebow Both men rocked as hard as possible considering the constraints of the situation. Prestage finally gave me what i'd been waiting for from him when he brought out his two string Lowebow guitar and then finished up with a cigarbox guitar. He seemed to slowly craft and amp his show buzz up as he was the opener where as Biram must drop his bombs from minute one. I had the feeling that Ben Prestage, who plays regular week long gigs, was probably a bit more used to the setting and the clientelle. Now don't get me wrong Biram was fantastic and thrilling and unpredictable as always but when blue hairs and bald dudes with pony tails and dudes in loafers with no socks and tshirts tucked in to their alligator belted pleated walking short pants with their bronzed, leather skinned and straw haired ex-cheerleader gal friends (tho i'm sure they are all very nice once you get to meet 'em!) are filing out the door in front of you while yr raising heaven and hell and the folks there to see you are goin' ape in a room lit to near day light it creates a certain, shall we say, lack of balance. A well lit bar+blues society clientelle is not the recipe for the best possible gig for anybody that I personally would care to see. But the the real problem was that while there were folks there just to see Scott and Ben it was also the Daytona Blues Society's weekly night out. It's a nice space.well lit.and the place sounds good.
I know that Scott prefers dive-ier settings and The Bank is not particularly dive-y. Unfortunatly it was not the best venue to see Scott Biram. I went to see Ben Prestage open for Scott Biram at The Bank in Daytona last night.
